(A student run organization that promotes rural entrepreneurship at the grass-root level)

The Entrepreneurship Cell, SSGMCE was initiated with a vision to promote entrepreneurship amongst the students of SSGMCE and to build an exhaustive resource pool to aid potential student to become entrepreneurs. Since our inception, we have organized various events ranged over social entrepreneurship events on campus to business plan contests and we have definitely brought about a surge in entrepreneurial activities in campus. The E-Cell includes thirty-one student members. The following activities were conducted during the academic year 2023-2024.

1. The E-cell, SSGMCE, Shegaon, has participated for the Advance Level of “National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC)”, organized by E-cell IIT, Bombay. The main objectives are
• To aware students about entrepreneurship.
• To aware and train the students for various activities like hackathons, startups, pitching competitions etc.
• To organize guest lecture on entrepreneurship.
• To nurture and motivate students for entrepreneurship.

2. The event Innovate - U hackathon was conducted by the E-cell on 26/09/23 in Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE) at Mechanical Dept. Seminar Hall, to provide a great platform to the young innovators. The Innovate-U Hackathon was conceived with the aim of nurturing a culture of innovation and problem-solving among the students of SSGMCE. This collaborative event brought together aspiring engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs to tackle real-world challenges through technology-driven solutions. During this event Coordinators of E-Cell (Dr. R. S. Mahamune, Prof. G. S. Wahile), Judging Committee, Ms. Madhura Patwardhan (Expert from TCS, Pune), the participated teams, Mr. Rahul Agarkar (NEC Leader- Ecell), and other Ecell members were present.

3. A guest lecture on “A journey from Ideation to Enterprising- A Way Forward” was organized by E-Cell, SSGMCE, Shegaon on 23rd November 2023. Dr. D. K. Agrawal Director-Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneur (IIE), Krishna Institute of Medical Science, Deemed to be University, Karad, Maharashtra, was the resource person.

4. A guest lecture on “Entrepreneurial Journey Vision to Venture” on 5th December, 2023, was organized by E-Cell. It was delivered by Prof. P. G. Choudhari, HOD, MCA, Saraswati College, Shegaon (MH), for the students of SSGMCE, Shegaon.

5. An event “Rodies” and a workshop “CinePro” were conducted by E-Cell in SSGMCE Campus, Shegaon, on 15th and 16th March 2024 in Pursuit 2024.
