Digital SSGMCE- Paperless office
Education is main domain in which there a dramatic shift to the online mode of transacting. Today, the digital literacy is essential for everyone. SSGMCE is contributing & be a change leading to overall societal development in this COVID-19 pandemic. Digital literacy has a potential for everyone of disseminating information and knowledge. SSGMCE using Microsoft Teams platform for online teaching/lectures/meetings/examinations/practical’s/viva-voce/interviews. Team platform provides excellent results and is very interactive as such.
SSGMCE has indigenously developed its own platform namely Student Information System (SIS) dedicatedly developed by our own team and exclusively use for monitoring class attendance, class test, teachers evaluating component, confirmation of registration (Admission) for higher classes, fees paid details, submission of application, elective selection, bonafide certificate, fees structure, Class time table, lecture plan, college identity card etc.
All the students are paying College Fees/ Examinations Fees/Admission Fees etc in a digital mode. SSGMCE has a tie up with State bank of India and using SB collect as a tool for collecting fees at our end. The soft copy of fees receipts are emailed to all the beneficiaries. Also Account department has displayed the UPI id and QR Code for Scanning for those who are coming to college for want of depositing fees at counter.
Use of dustless chock
Quality dust free chalks are used for black/green board writing which not only improve the teaching performance of the faculty but also take care of their health. Because of this dust maintenance of the class room improved effectively.
Sensors base light ON/OFF in Toilets and Urinals
Movement sensors are installed at toilets and urinals in academic buildings, hostels, R&D centers, library which upon detecting the human entry automatically light up the area which drastically saved the electrical energy.
Fire and Electrical Safety
Fire and Electrical SafetyShri Sant Gajanan Maharaj college of Engineering is following the rules and regulations strictly to prevent fire outbreak and ensure safety. Fire Prevention and Fire Safety strictly measures are the important parts under the activity of college. At college, there is a regular refilling, maintenance training and testing of all essential equipments regarding safety point of view.
In college Laboratories, following procedure is adopted. Flammable and hazardous materials sources used are limited, kept isolated, eliminated, or kept secured. The electrical cable, wires, lines, appliances, heaters, burners, gas pipelines and LPG cylinders, flammable or combustible liquids are used and kept with proper care.
- Exit routes are clear to facilitate safe evacuation in case of fire or other emergencies.
- Detection and alarm systems are working
- Fire extinguishers are regularly refilled from Authorized Licensed holder Agency
- Other firefighting materials and equipment is maintained.
- Electrical systems are maintained and operable, in compliance with fire safety design criteria.
- How to use Fire Extinguisher Training session/ Fire drills is held regularly during college session.
- Every Lab/ room in the college have emergency exists sign boards identifying two ways out.
- Every student, teacher and other staff in college are aware of the safety precautions and steps to follow in case of fire outbreak.
- Safety audits such as electric safety audit and fire safety audit which involves checking for possible sources of fire and identifying inflammable items within the campus is done.
- College completed all essentials things to get NOC Certificate from Municipal Cooperation Shegaon
- The following is the list of fire extinguishers installed at various locations in premises for fire safety purpose

Electrical Safety
A safe work environment is not always enough to control all potential electrical hazards. We are very cautious and work safely. Safety rules help us control ours and others risk of injury or death from workplace hazards in our institute.
Electrical and Power Engineering department of our institute periodically check the electrical earthling and issue clearance certificate to each and every department of the organization. Besides this, upon receiving complains the sockets, cabling etc get repaired or changed.
Our staffs at SSGMCE follow the following guidelines for electrical safety.
- Avoid contact with energized electrical circuits.
- Disconnect the power source before servicing or repairing electrical equipment and Treat all electrical devices as if they are live or energized.
- Use only tools and equipment with non-conducting handles when working on electrical devices.
- When it is necessary to handle equipment that is plugged in, be sure hands are dry and, when possible, wear nonconductive gloves, protective clothes and shoes with insulated soles.
- Minimize the use of electrical equipment in cold roomsor other areas where condensation is likely. If equipment must be used in such areas, mount the equipment on a wall or vertical panel.
Installation of LED Lights
Though we have 310 kw on grid solar power plant we used LED lights in the offices, hostels rooms, batch rooms, latrines and roadsides in the campus which reduce our electricity consumption drastically and it help us maintaining the also eco friendly environment in the campus..
Smokeless Campus
We have centralized Modern Electro Thermal Cooking System cooking system at out parent organization. Foods for messes are supplied form the central cooking. All the hostels are equipped with heat pumps for proving hot water for bathing.
Central Kitchen
All hostels are equipped with mess for the campus residing students. Meals for all students cooked centrally in the parent organization’s central kitchen. Central kitchen is thoroughly equipped with Modern Electro Thermal Cooking System witch traps heat inside the pot so the food continues cooking without an external heat source. IT not only traps heat but reflect infra-red heat back into the food. The cooked food is conveyed to all hostel messes. College campus is smokeless as no fire is allowed that will not only save woods but also help us maintain the pollution free campus.
Heat Pumps for hot water
Heat pumps are installed on roof tops of each hostel which provide hot water day and night for bathing. Heat pump water heaters use electricity to move heat from one place to another instead of generating heat directly. Therefore, they can be two to three times more energy efficient than conventional electric resistance water heaters. To move the heat, heat pumps work like a refrigerator in reverse.
