Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon — established in 1983 by Shri Gajanan Shikshan Sanstha, Shegaon — is one of the premier institutions dedicated to excellence in engineering and management education. The institute is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU), Amravati, recognized by AICTE, New Delhi, and approved by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

What we do

The Institute offers five Undergraduate engineering courses and five Postgraduate programs (four in Engineering and one in Management), with all laboratories recognized as centers for Ph.D. research programs. The institution is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes multidisciplinary learning, a flexible curriculum and multiple entry-exit options, and a strong focus on skill-based, experiential, and outcome-based education. SSGMCE boasts excellent physical infrastructure, including modern residential and academic buildings, a well-stocked library, state-of-the-art laboratories, equipment, hostels, and a Yoga and Meditation Centre, spread over a neat and clean 82-acre lush-green campus. This year, students of Team X-treme secured the second runner-up position in National Level Hindustan Formula Karting Championship HFKC, one student won first prize in the Student Leadership Track, and another ranked among the top three in the Cyber Security Track at AISYWLC 2025 – IEEE Chapter. The NCC cadets earned awards and certificates in multiple events, including the All India Trekking Camp (Tirupati) and Annual Training Camps (Amravati).
